Croatia Airlines presenting its summer flight timetable on Croatia’s key tourism market

Munich – The Croatian National Tourist Board and Croatia Airlines are giving a joint presentation at the f.re.e. Travel and Leisure Fair in Munich held between the 22nd and 26th of February. Croatia’s flag carrier is presenting its summer flight timetable for 2023, within the framework of which Croatia Airlines is planning to create even stronger air connections between the German and Croatian markets during this year’s tourist season.

A novelty in the summer flight timetable is the introduction of the seasonal Munich-Bol on the island of Brač route, on which flights will be operated on Saturdays in the period between the end of May and the first half of October.

During the current winter flight timetable, Croatia Airlines is connecting Munich directly with Zagreb and Split every day of the week, with Rijeka three times a week (i.e., on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays), and with Osijek twice a week (i.e., on Mondays, and Fridays). Croatia Airlines will continue to operate these flights during the summer season as well, when the Munich-Dubrovnik route will also be reintroduced, on which flights will be operated four times a week (i.e., on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays).

In other words, during this year’s tourist season, Croatia Airlines will be connecting the capital of Bavaria with a total of six Croatian destinations (i.e., Zagreb, Split, Osijek, Rijeka, Dubrovnik, and Bol on the island of Brač). This means that passengers will have a total of 31 return flights a week at their disposal.

As for the rest of the German market, during this year’s summer season, Croatia’s flag carrier is also planning to operate direct international flights on the Frankfurt-Zagreb, Frankfurt-Split, Frankfurt-Dubrovnik, Berlin-Split, and Düsseldorf-Split routes, on which a total of 38 return flights will be operated each week.

– In this year’s tourist season, we’ve again paid special attention to connections between Germany and Croatia. We are glad that, besides expecting to see further recovery in demand for air transport services, we are able to offer passengers a service which is more extensive. Germany is one of our key emissive markets, while Bavaria and its capital, Munich, are one of Europe’s biggest transport hubs. During this year’s tourist season, we’ll be connecting Munich directly with 6 Croatian destinations. More specifically, we’re planning to operate a total of 69 return flights a week between Germany and Croatia – said Slaven Žabo, Director of the Commercial Division at Croatia Airlines.

– Germany is our key travel and tourism market, accounting for as much as 24 percent of overnight stays in Croatia. Croatia’s partner country status at this year’s edition of the f.re.e. fair, and the presence of many entities and companies from Croatia’s tourism industry is very important for the further positioning of our country on the German market. In this context, the routes on which flights are operated by Croatia’s flag carrier, Croatia Airlines, are also very important, because they make many Croatian destinations even more accessible and interesting to the German market. I welcome the introduction of the new Munich-Brač route, which will, I am certain, become popular and contribute to the island of Brač becoming a favorite destination with Germans – said Kristjan Staničić, CEO at the Croatian National Tourist Board.

During this year’s tourist season, Croatia Airlines is planning to connect Croatia with 22 international destinations (i.e., 23 European airports) by operating flights on 47 international routes. More specifically, Croatia Airlines is planning to operate more than 17,000 flights and to offer more than 1,820,000 seats.
