Covid-19: Lockdown extend in Kerala till May 30, Karnataka extend it till June 7

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced on Friday to extend the ongoing lockdown in the state till May 30, he also mentioned that the triple lockdown would be lifted in three districts, namely, Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, and Thrissur, But continue in Malappuram district.

He also said that the restrictions in the area would be tightened and warned of “strict action” against the violators.

Karnataka

Karnataka state government has extended the lockdown till 6 am on June 7, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa clarified that there are no changes in the current restrictions and the lockdown would continue as it had been since April 27

“Covid infections are spreading into rural areas and the death toll is increasing and in order to stop this we have taken decisions and I am seeking the cooperation of people in stopping the spread of the disease,” the chief minister added.
