Circle festival: rediscover the airport district

Circle festival: rediscover the airport district

The second Circle festival will take place from 6-8 May at Zurich Airport. For three days, visitors will be able to experience the Circle in a completely different way. There will be plenty to entertain young and old alike, from alpaca trekking in the Circle park through food trucks to live music on the main square.

A varied programme awaits visitors at this year’s Circle festival. The shops and restaurants will offer attractions and specials for the whole family throughout the weekend. Young guests can look forward to a children’s carousel, a bungee trampoline, a game room and a gaming lounge. Rolli, the popular rolling suitcase mascot, will also be there. Food trucks below the park and live music on the main square will provide a good atmosphere and invite guests to linger.

A glance behind the scenes

For those wishing to obtain background information about the Circle, regular tours will take place on Saturday and Sunday. Visitors can register on-site at the info point on the main square. There is no charge for taking part. And anyone who has always wanted to take a look behind the scenes at a hotel will have an opportunity to do just that. Both Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport The Circle and Hyatt Place Zurich Airport The Circle will offer guided tours on both weekend days. Additional information about the project is available on the website.

Rediscover the Circle park

Animal lovers are advised to visit the Circle park during the festival, where alpaca treks will take place in the afternoons. Anyone wishing to accompany one of the furry animals on a walk can register directly in the park. Visitors keen to know more about nature conservation in the park can register for a park ranger tour and learn interesting facts about flora and fauna at Zurich Airport.

Culinary trips around the world

Refreshments will also be on hand at the Circle festival, and the restaurants and bars at the Circle will offer visitors an opportunity to discover their offerings in a very special way. From American hot dogs through a French tasting menu or Italian pizza – there’s something to suit every taste.

Live music at the festival

To ensure a good atmosphere, music will also be provided. On Friday, DJ Minus 8 will set the mood on the main square, and The Murphys, Brüder Fërns, Kev Colombo and Marleex will be on the main and south squares on Saturday and Sunday. Orchestra fans can also look forward to a very special appearance: the spring concert by the Zurich Airport Orchestra will take place in Departure Hall 2 at 10:30 on Sunday, 8 May.
