TORONTO – Canada on Sunday (Feb 27) closed its airspace to Russian aircraft operators due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis.
There are no direct flights between Russia and Canada, but several Russian flights a day pass through Canadian airspace to other countries, a spokesperson for Alghabra said.
European Union also announced to shut its airspace for Russian flights.
