Air Serbia commenced flights to Salzburg

Air Serbia commenced direct flights between Belgrade and Salzburg in Austria for the first time. The Serbian national airline will fly to its second destination in the popular Alpine country, after Vienna, three times a week during the summer season – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, as well as twice a week in the winter season.

“We are very happy that by introducing this service, we are contributing to the strengthening of the air connection between Serbia and Austria, an extremely important market for our country due to its large Serbian diaspora. We are sure that Salzburg, as an important tourist destination due to its proximity to the Alps and ski resorts, baroque architecture and numerous sights it offers, will be an attractive option for planning a vacation for our passengers”, said Bojan Aranđelović, Head of Network Planning & Scheduling at Air Serbia.

Salzburg, the fourth largest city in Austria, is known as the birthplace of the famous Mozart and as the administrative, economic and cultural centre of the province of the same name. One of the most beautiful baroque cities, it is often called the ‘Gateway to the Alps’. The historical core of the city, a perfect combination of art and architecture, is on the UNESCO heritage list.
