Air India resumes non-stop service on the Delhi-Vienna-Delhi sector

Air India announces 13 direct flights between India-UK from August 16

New Delhi: Air India on Wednesday (Aug 11) announced non-stop flights between India and the United Kingdom from August 16, after the UK move India to its amber list (hotel quarantine rule is not mandatory) from the red list last week.

The national carrier said that it will operate 13 weekly flights connecting London with six Indian cities — Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Amritsar, and Kochi from August 16 to September 1, 2021. It must be noted that the flights will be operated under the air bubble arrangements between the two countries.

Talking about the airfare between the two nations, the aviation ministry informed that the Economy class Delhi-London airfare will range between 1.03 and 1.21 lakhs for Indian carriers and 1.28-1.47 lakhs for UK carriers in August.

However, Air India said that the fares will depend on travel dates, routes and advance bookings.
